gpms.msc stands for Group Policy Management Console, It is a Microsoft Management Console(MMC) snap-in that provides a single administrative tool for managing Group Policy across an organization. The Group Policy Management Console is used to configure and mange Group Policy settings in a Windows Active Directory environment.

In simpler terms, it's a graphical user interface (GUI) tool that allows administrators to create, edit, and manage Group Policy Objects (GPO) in an Active Directory domain. Group Policy is a feature of Windows that allows administrators to control and configure computer and user settings centrally.
