Import CAD geometry in BladeModeler, turbogrid
Table of Contents
1 Import CAD geometry in BladeModeler, turbogrid
Objectives: Import blade geometry in TurboGrid from CAD e.g. IGES, Parasolid, Native CAD (CATIA, Pro/E, NX, …)
package: ANSYS BladeModeler (a sub tool in DesignModeler)
Procedure:
- Create meridional plane (a flat surface) in ANSYS BladeModeler
- Define curves on meridional plane for specified span levels Intersect curves with blade surfaces
- Create points representing the blade profile
- Export points to ANSYS TurboGrid
Note: Z-Axis must be rotational axis • Geometry must be located in the positive ZX Plane
