My developerWorks sucks

My developerWorks sucks, it even need me to request specific for blogging after I registered.

So I come here again.

Because I have come acrossed the topic of global time and date since I onboard IBM, I decideded to figure it out this evening.
GMT = Greenwich Mean Time @ London. The longtitude of London is 0 degree.

Bejing Time is GMT+8 which means Beijing is 8 hours ahead of London.

International data line is at longtitude 180 degrees.  The west of the line is a day ahead of the east.  There is rare people live arond that line or they would be driven crazy.

Tucson, Arizona US (GMT -7), center of IBM Storage is 15 hours after Shanghai (GMT +8). 12am in Shanghai is indeed 9 pm of preceding day in Tucson.

Ok, it all cleared right now. In general conclusion, places on the east is ahead of places on the west.
