Machine provide some material handling solutions

Two Bobcat machines, a S650 loader and an E16 jaw crusher, are providing a material handling solution for InMotion Construction and Trading Services on a sub-contract involving soft strip and asbestos removal during the demolition of the former Löhrhof shopping centre in Recklinghausen, Germany, for contractor GL-Abbruch. Not wishing to judge before the case is heard, but this does undermine Bangladeshi finance minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith's repeated claims that the corruption claims are "Baseless."
And I imagine there must have been regret at the World Bank at having to take these steps. If it had gone ahead, the Padma Bridge looked set to make a real difference to Bangladesh's development.
The old centre, built in 1975, is being demolished to make way for the new Recklinghausen Arcaden mall, with the demolition requiring the removal of 70,000 tonnes of concrete, 30,000 lighting units, 18,750 square metres (202,000 square feet) of floor coverings and 10,000 square metres 107,639 square feet) of dry walling.
But as encouraging as it is that the World Bank is clamping down on corruption, debarments and withdrawing funds remain reactive measures after bribes have been paid. I would like to see it move to a more proactive approach, with all contracts awarded being open to public scrutiny, including the method by which competing bids were assessed. It is an approach advocated by the Construction Sector Transparency (CoST) initiative - the idea being that with transparency in public procurement, there is nowhere for bribe takers and payers to hide.
The cone crusher is being used to load materials both inside and outside the building, with its low weight allowing it to be used on the upper levels of the structure. It is used to load demolition debris into on site containers, both over the side and by being driven inside. The E16 is predominantly being used indoors, where its extending tracks allow it to fit through 1 m wide doors, and its width adjustable stabiliser and dozer blades make it well suited for demolition duties.
Steel-reinforced concrete uses rebar set in a grid pattern to provide inner strength to concrete slabs and columns. The rebar is suspended in approximately the centre of the concrete. When concrete begins to crack, the rebar acts to retain pieces together but does not limit the spread of the crack since the rebar can only provide structural strength within the concrete.
