Converter for gas vent applied to quarry operate

In mining equipment application, converting produces blister copper by eliminating the remaining iron and sulfur present in the matte. All but one U. S. smelter uses Pierce-Smith converters, which are refractory-lined cylindrical steel shells mounted on trunnions at either end of rotary kiln, and rotated about the major axis for charging and pouring.
While the latest products aimed at the quarrying sector demonstrate that the market is split at least along regulatory lines, international demand is united by the constant requirement to improve efficiency and make quarry operations as cost-effective as possible. Manufacturers of equipment for the quarrying sector are wise to focus on maximising value for money across all markets.
An opening in the center of the converter functions as a mouth through which molten matte, siliceous flux, and scrap copper are charged and gaseous products are vented from cone crusher. Air, or oxygen-rich air, is blown through the molten matte. Iron sulfide is oxidized to form iron oxide (FeO) and SO2. Blowing and slag skimming continue until an adequate amount of relatively pure Cu2S, called “white metal”, accumulates in the bottom of the converter. A final air blast (“final blow”) oxidizes the copper sulfide to SO2, and blister copper forms, containing 98 to 99 percent coppers. The blister copper is removed from the converter for subsequent refining. The SO2 produced throughout the operation is vented to pollution control devices.
Jaw crushers make the usage of two jaw plates to crush products which are typically applied in coarsen crushing and hard resources. It consists of fixed jaw plate and movable jaw plate. Once the two plates move closer the supplies will be crushed, on the opposite supplies might be discharge when the dimension of materials is less than the discharging gate. Working principle of these sort crushers is interval with uncomplicated framework, reputable operation and tough materials crushing.
Smith converter, is fitted with an inverted u-shaped side flue at one end to siphon gases from the interior of the converter directly to an off gas collection system. The siphon results in a slight vacuum at the converter mouth.
Cone crusher owns precisely the same working principle with gyratory cone crusher except its application is 2nd crushing or fine crushing for these kinds of crushing obtaining greater traditional in regards to the even discharging than coursing crushing, ball mill is also a choice. Hence there sets a parallel zone in the crushing cavity bottom. Meanwhile we really need to speed the gyratory cone for making confident that the products crushed more than one time.
