原因（官方答复）：

Due to a number of failed email deliveries to your email address, it had since become unverified and hence you were unable to initiate a password reset.

解决过程：

1. 在网页 https://support.github.com/contact/account 上提交一个帮助请求
2. 收到一封 GitHub 发送的请求已收到的邮件
   
3. 经过若干个工作日后，GitHub 的工作人员进行处理
