I suggest you try the following way, Hope this helps

change your code:

TreeNode tn = new TreeNode(de.Name, de.FullName);
rootNode.ChildNodes.Add(tn);

to the following code:

 

String strName="<img id=something src=blah style=display:none; postition it as needed><a onmouseover="showthepic(control)" onmouseout="hide(control)>";
strName+=de.Name;
strName+=""
TreeNode tn = new TreeNode(strName, de.FullName);
rootNode.ChildNodes.Add(tn);

 

动态生成tree时，要做到服务端代码和客户端代码的协同，内嵌式的HTML标记是不错的选择
