Intel Quark is a line of 32-bit x86 system on a chips by Intel, designed for small size and very low power consumption targeted at new markets including wearable devices. The line was presented in 2013. They are smaller, lower power, and less powerful than Atom processors.
It powers the Intel Galileo developer microcontroller board.[1]
The first product in line is the single-core X1000 SoC with frequency up to 400 MHz, presented at IDF 2013. The system includes many interfaces: PCIe, SPI, I2C, Fast Ethernet, USB 2.0, SDIO, PMC, GPIO. There is embedded eSRAM (512 KB) on chip and an integrated DDR3 memory controller.[2]
