Error：No description found when saving maintenance plans

On SQL2005 (with or without SP1), attempting to save an edit to an existing Maintenance plan or save a new maintenace plan results in a dialog box with the message "No description found"

To resolve this, ensure the correct MSXML dll's are registered on the server by running the following commands
regsvr32 msxml3.dll
regsvr32 msxml6.dll
