🐌Though Digital Multimodal Narrative has been applied for various aspects of our life, I firstly got this word in the lesson1. After two further workshops, l have learnt more details about it, and it's an honour that I can learn professional knowledge in this field with full of curiosity.

• Here are some conclusions:
  1.Five modes: Visual, Aural, Gestural, Spatial, Linguistic
  2.Pedagogic metalanguage

In the first part, we know we can use what way to make our works digital. In my view, it's like adding five sense organ in our narrative in Chinese writing, which does the same function.

In the second part, we learn a number of information systematically:
🍄Integral features（Visual)
Size：Large,Medium,Small
Sharpness Foreground：In Focus,Out of Focus[Prominence(突出，显著特征) or not]
Colour use:「represent emotions」
Contrast：High,Low「to create a visual impact」
Address:Indirect Gaze or Direct Gaze
Foreground,Background
Distance:Medium shot, Close shot, long shot
angle: low (emphasize power dynamics between characters or signaling superiority or to elicit feelings of fear and dread.)or high(a feeling of inferiority, or “looking down” on your subject)
🍄Ways of interaction:
Truly express the emotions that the creator wants.
🍄Representation of Ideas:
We can use some key elements:what, how, why, who, when, where
🍄Interplay of Meanings:
Reinforcement(强化) Similar Meanings（ Repetition, Elaboration, Extension）
Variation（差异）Different Meanings （Play, Ambivalence, Breakdown）

• How have these workshops enriched your understanding of multimodality?
  Why is this knowledge valuable?
  Like primary school school students, when we learn how to write English articles, we must know the underlying logic of the English writing. However, we are living in the era of digital information, we must learn more modern concept to catch up the era. Digital Multimodal Narrative gives us a chance.

• What topics or methods would you suggest?

1. I think we can expand the themes connected with the textbook unit, integrate it, and deepen our understanding of existing topics.
2. Textbook part II has many classical essays , and we can adapt them in a digital multimodal way.

🐌The introduction of Digital Multimodal Narrative can greatly enrich the course content and expose me to the latest academic developments and research progress. This can not only improve my academic literacy and innovation ability, but also lay a solid foundation for my future career development.
