Anchor

Lyrics

When all the world is spinning 'round
Like a red balloon way up in the clouds
And my feet will not stay on the ground
You anchor me back down
I am nearly world renowned
As the restless soul who always skips town
But I look for you to come around
And anchor me back down
There are those who think that I'm strange
They would box me up, and tell me to change
But you hold me close and softly say
That you wouldn't have me any other way
When people pin me as a clown
You behave as though I'm wearing a crown
When I'm lost, I feel so very found
When you anchor me back down
There are those who think that I'm strange
They would box me up, and tell me to change
But you hold me close and softly say
That you wouldn't have me any other way
When all the world is spinning 'round
Like a red balloon way up in the clouds
And my feet will not stay on the ground
You anchor me back down

Thoughts

Through the lyrics, I can peer into her soft life. With a kind man backing her up, she can fight against the scorn, discomfort and helpless. The singer's voice also feels like breeze in Spring, which makes me calm and peaceful. The soft voice is just like the man mentioned in the lyrics, holding me tight and softly say.

Sometimes when I close my eyes and imagine the scenario where I would place myself, I feel like I'm in a tranquil river rowing my boat and looking at the beautiful nature with nothing to bother. In addition, I would also dream that I'm in a cabin near a fireplace, enjoying the landscape outside a little window.

Although those are not realistic, I will still cherish my imaginations.
