Oracle Lifetime Support Policy
With OracleSupport, you know up front and with certainty how long your Oracle products aresupported. The Lifetime Support Policy provides access to technical experts foras long as you license your Oracle products and consists of three supportstages: Premier Support, Extended Support, and Sustaining Support. It deliversmaximum value by providing you with rights to major product releases so you cantake full advantage of technology and product enhancements. Your technology andyour business keep moving forward together.
--Oracle 提供三种support: Premier Support, Extended Support, SustainingSupport.
Premier Support provides a standard five-year support policy for Oracle Technology products.You can extend support for an additional three years with Extended Support forspecific releases or receive indefinite technical support with Sustaining Support.

1.1 Premier Support
As an Oraclecustomer, you can expect the best with Premier Support, our award-winning, nextgeneration support program. Premier Support provides you with maintenance andsupport for your Oracle Database products for five years from their general availabilitydate.

Updates, fixes, security alerts, datafixes, and critical patch updates
Tax, legal, and regulatory updates
Upgrade scripts
Certification with most new third-partyproducts/versions

1.2 Extended Support
Your technology future is assured with Oracle’s Extended Support. Extended Support lets youstay competitive, with the freedom to upgrade on your timetable. If you takeadvantage of Extended Support, it provides you with an extra three years ofsupport for specific Oracle releases for an additional fee.

当PS 过期后,可以购买ES,ES 只有3年。
1.3 Sustaining Support
Sustaining Support puts you in control of your upgrade strategy. When Premier Supportexpires, if you choose not to purchase Extended Support, or when ExtendedSupport expires, Sustaining Support will be available for as long as youlicense your Oracle products. With Sustaining Support, you receive technicalsupport, including access to our online support tools, knowledgebases, and technicalsupport experts.

Access to My Oracle Support
Fixes, updates, and critical patch updatescreated during the Premier Support stage
Upgrade scripts created during the PremierSupport stage
Sustaining Support does not include
New updates, fixes, security alerts, datafixes, and critical patch updates

Certification with new third-partyproducts/versions
Certification with new Oracle products

当PS 或者 ES 过期后,可以购买SS,SS 不够时间限制。
二.Oracle Lifetime Support: Coverage for Oracle Technology Products
For Oracle Database 9.2 a limited bug fix service will be available from Aug 2010 untilJuly 2012. For details please refer to the Technical Support Policies.
For OracleDatabase 10.2 there will be available an additional 2 years of Severity 1fixes, August 2013 – July 2015 for the Linux Itanium platform. For detailsplease refer to the Technical Support Policies.
For more-detailed information on bug fix and patch release policies, please referto the “Error Correction Support Policy” on MyOracle Support.
For customers with current support contracts running Oracle Database 10gR2, please refer tothe Oracle Technical Support Policies for Extended Support fee waiverinformation.
如上图,Oracle 10.2的Premier Support 已在2010年7月过期,如果没有购买Extended Support,那么相应的功能就会受到限制。
Oracle Enterprise Manager 9.2 was bundled within Oracle Database 9.2. Therefore, thesupport time frames for Oracle Enterprise Manager 9.2 will follow the samesupport time frames as Oracle Database 9.2. Please see the Oracle Databaserelease table for details.
*Please note that Oracle Enterprise Manager 10g R3 (10.2.0.3), 10g R4 (10.2.0.4), and 10g R5(10.2.0.5) are patchset releases of Oracle Grid Control 10.2 and as such fallunder the support time frames for Oracle Grid Control 10.2. For more-detailedinformation on bug fix and patch release policies, please refer to the “ErrorCorrection Support Policy” on MyOracle Support.
