Job Title: Software Engineer II

Work Location: Suzhou/Beijing, China

We are working on understanding and harnessing the data on the internet to make them available to users through a natural user interface. The team is responsible for the following areas within the Cortana (小娜) personal assistance.

Knowledge and data understanding

Text to Speech synthesis

Natural language generation

The team is looking for self-motivated individuals to work on these areas. If you are interested in working on developing a platform that powers these capabilities, then it is the right team for you.

Required skills/qualifications:

MSc or PhD in Computer Science or related field.

Proven core technical knowledge and relevance experience -- 4+ years software product cycle experience including some knowledge and experience related to data and relevance

Knowledge in one of more of the following areas is a bonus

Data mining and data analysis

Machine learning

Natural language processing

Speech synthesis

Great design and problem solving skills, with demonstrated passion for quality, performance, and engineering excellence

Effective communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment

Ability to program in scripting, C++ or C# programming language.
