The other day I realized that people were looking at me very strangely. I didn't know why. Then I suddenly realized that I'd accidentally gone out with my slippers on! I immediately went home and put my shoes on instead.

有一天，我意识到人们都在用奇怪的目光看着我。我不知道为什么。然后我突然意识到我不小心穿着拖鞋出去了! 我立即回家，换上了我的鞋子。

 

We nearly had an accident last month. The car in front of us suddenly stopped for no reason. luckily we stopped before we hit it.but unfortunately my sister hit the windshield（挡风玻璃）and cut her head. We took her to the hospital immediately.

上个月我们差点出车祸。我们前面的车突然无缘无故地停住了。幸运的是我们在撞到它之前停了下来。但不幸的是我的妹妹撞到挡风玻璃和割破她的头。我们立即把她送到了医院。

 

 

语法（Grammar）

In a response to a question, the important information is stressed. For example:

1. Where are you from?

-- I come from Shenzhen, China

What do you do?

-- I am an engineer at Foxcom.

 

We generally use both the present perfect and present perfect continuous to talk about something that started in the past and affects the situation now. The present perfect continuous focuses on an ongoing action and the present perfect focuses on the effect.

# 我们通常用现在完成时和现在完成进行时来谈论发生在过去并影响到现在的情况。现在完成进行时关注正在进行的动作，现在完成时关注效果。

 

Examples:

The boys have been playing football all day.  男孩子们踢了一整天足球。

They have walked around the city all day and are now taking a rest in the hotel.  他们在城里走了一整天，现在正在旅馆里休息。

 

Where have you been? Have you been playing tennis?  你去哪儿了?你一直在打网球吗?

Look! Somebody has broken that window.  看!有人打破了那扇窗户。

You look tired.Here you been working hard?  你看起来很累。你一直在努力工作吗?

My brother is an actor. He has appeared in several films. 我哥哥是个演员。他出演了好几部电影。

I have lost my address book. Have you seen it anywhere? 我的通讯录丢了。你在哪儿见过它吗?

I have been reading the book you lent me but I haven't finished it yet. 我一直在看你借给我的书，但还没有看完。

I have read the book you lent me, so you can have it back now. 我已经读了你借给我的那本书，所以你现在可以要回来了。

Jane is away on holiday. Oh is she? Where has she gone?  简外出度假去了。哦她是吗?她去哪儿了?
