暴雪如期开放了WoW Open Beta的申请，第一批帐号是通过FilePlanet发放的，据参加拼抢的玩家称，这一批发放的10万个帐号不到10 分钟就被一抢而空，而暴雪主页发布Open Beta正式开始接受申请后5分钟也被挤暴。现在暴雪正在紧急维护服务器，很快就会开始第二阶段的申请，也就 是在www.WorldofWarcraft.com主页上进行申请。
