I am now preparing for IELTS, here are some model essays copied from the Internet.

1.

The line gragh compares the amounts of electricity produced in France using four different sources of power over a period of 32 years.

It is clear that nuclear power was by far the most important means of electricity generation over the period shown. Renewables provided the lowest amount of electricity in each year.

In 1980, thermal power stations were the main source of electricity in France, generating around 120 terawatt hours of power. Nuclear and hydroelectric power stations produced just under 75 terawatt hours of electricity each, and renewables provided a negligible amount. Just one year later, nuclear power overtook thermal power as the primary source of electricity.

Between 1980 and 2005, electricity production from nuclear power rose dramatically to a peak of 430 terawatt hours. By contrast, the figure for thermal power fell to only 50 terawatt hours in 1985, and remained at this level for the rest of the period. Hydroelectric power generation remained relatively stable, at between 50 and 80 terawatt hours, for the whole 32-year period.

There are two pie charts that show different types of organisation's volunteers in two differents years, 2008 and 2014. The organisations include Education, Healthcare, Sports, Arts, Environment and Other.

Looking firstly at the 2008 figures, it can be clearly seen that Education, Arts and Environment are the most significant sections with 24 per cent, 22 per cnt and 20 per cent respectively, while Healthcare and Other show 16 per cent and 12 percent. The smallest segment is Sports, with a mere 6 per cent.

Moving onto the 2014 chart, while Education and Arts shrank by 2 per cent and 7 per cent, Environment grew to 29 per cent. Sports expanded as well to 18 per cent, which left 10 per cent for Other and only 6 per cent for Healthcare, a reduction of 2 per cent and a whopping 10 percent.

In summary, we can see that the figures shown changed considerably over the six years, with Sports gaining the most and Healthcare taking the biggest hit.
