The Dragon Boat Festival, a traditional holiday in China, falls on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month, and its festivities are filled with color, excitement, and deep cultural significance.And in my community,we attach great importance to this festival.

During the day,we gather together to make zongzi,which is wrapped in bamboo leaves.It is an essential part of the Dragon Boat Festival,passing down the tradition from generation to generation.Nowadays,because the time is close to the National College Examination and the similar pronunciation in Chinese,it also has a meaning of passing the exam.Besides,we have a tradition custom of eating salted duck eggs,which appear commonly in significant times.What’s more,due to the small town,we can not hold the most iconic tradition of the festival----the dragon boat races.But we will sit in front of television to watch them. The races are exciting.The boats are painted in vivid colors and decorated with intricate carvings, symbolizing the majesty and strength of the dragon. The races are fast-paced ,with the spectators cheering loudly for their favorite teams.Moreover,families hung wormwood on doors.And if relatives are in leisure time,we will visit them.Last but not least,we always scatter realgar around our houses to avoid the appearance of snacks.

This holiday is not only a time for fun and festivities but also a time for reflection and remembrance, honoring the legacy of Qu Yuan and the rich cultural heritage of China.It ensures that the culture and spirit of the Dragon Boat Festival remain alive and vibrant.
