If I have to alarm ahead of time before the potential collision and the time is limited to 48 hours, I will do something like below:

1. Do some surveys or questionnare with my parteners in my team and ask them if this is possible to alarm ahead of time;

2. If most of the people say yes, then I will analyse it in details and calculate the specific time period that the warnning can last;

3. After knowing the time period, I will tell my boss the result and ask for some extra time for the warning(maybe 15min), in case of some accident;

4. I will try to inplement it with my team members.

5. If it is impossible to do that, I will still find out the time the warnning need;

6. Then I will still tell the truth to my boss that it is impossible to 48 hour warning if potential collision.
