Ubuntu 10.04 32-bit 共享不可见

GUEST LINUX OS

• VM -> Settings -> Options -> Shared Folders. And added my folder.
• Installed properly my VMware tools (I can drag and drop files so I am confident that it is installed)

HOST WINDOWS OS

• Shared the folder with everyone (to assure that there is no permit limitations with my files)

when I goto /mnt/hgfs, no shared folder displayed, and command vmware-hgsclient show nothing to me.

so, I searched for a while, I did:

• sodo apt-get install open-vm-dkms (if you need make choice during the installation, choose Y)

reboot then somehow I found View->AutoFit Guest not working, so I did:

• sudo apt-get remove xserver-xorg-video-vmware
• sudo apt-get install xserver-xorg-video-vmware

reboot and everything is done!
