Rhythm of the rain

今天下雪了，不过想起了另外一首歌，以前听广播时经常听到的《Rhythm of the Rain》。王力宏的《春雨里洗过的太阳》有一句"If you listen to the rhythm of the pouring rain" 不知是否是取材自这首《Rhythm of the rain》，不过王力宏的这首中文版，也很不错。（有种感觉雨应该是绿色的），以下转自一个英语学习网站（大耳朵），听歌学英语。
Cascades(瀑布合唱团), 是来自加利福尼亚州圣地亚哥的一个五重唱组合。对于这个多人组合, 中国的听众也许不是太熟悉, 但说到"Rhythm of the rain"这首歌曲, 相信会有许多人听过并熟知。
"听那细雨淅沥淅沥下不停, 好像在笑我太痴情, 我惟一的心上人儿离开了我, 随身带走我的心, 我失去了心儿怎能再去爱别的人. "风雨中的等待, 浪漫得让人心碎。

虽然这首歌在1963年一上榜, 只获得第三名的成绩, 但却永远活在人们的回忆中, 多年来不断有人翻唱, 甚至在我国被改编成国语歌曲"雨的旋律"。根据BMI的统计, 它已在美国广电媒体创下超过六百万次的播唱纪录, 成为有史以来一百首最受喜爱西洋歌曲的第九首。

2．listen to: 听（指“听”这一动作）

hear: 听到（指“听”后的结果）

don't: 按语法规则讲，这里应是doesn't，但演唱者唱的是don't，可能是为了节奏和音长的缘故而作了改动。

11．set her heart aglow : 让她的心发点光

aglow：glowing; shining with warmth and colour 发光，发热；发光彩

例如：His appearance set her face aglow. 他的出现使她容光焕发。

12．rain in her heart: 把雨洒到她的心田

[注释与赏析]

这首歌以雨起兴，诉说衷肠。落雨的节奏给主人公带来哀愁，是雨的节奏勾起心中往事，仿佛在告诉他他一直是傻瓜。所以他愿让雨离开，留下他一人哭，尽管是徒劳的哭泣。雨水与泪水紧紧连在一起。主人公说他唯一爱着的姑娘离他而去，带走了他的心，使他无法爱别人。满腹衷肠，诉与谁听？只有那滴沥嗒拉、滴沥嗒拉的雨似在倾听，又似不过问。但主人公还是恳请落雨帮他恢复那个离他而去的女孩的爱心，让她的心重放光彩，雨洒在她心田，这是主人公的心声。心声、雨声，就这样融合在一起。不知是主人公让我们听到滴沥嗒拉的落雨，还是滴沥嗒拉的落雨在让我们听到主人公发自内心的哭泣？
